From rendering a chic definition to bollywood damsels to taking the essence of Indian fashion across the globe, Neeta Lulla has done everything possible in this industry and has done it with style and grace.
In her career spanning more than a couple of decades, Neeta Lulla has received the National Award on four occasions apart from winning several accolades.
Often referred as the ‘Czarina of Indian Fashion’, Neeta Lulla is known majorly for contributing her brilliance to Indian Fashion through her work. Her work glorifies the use of exquisite Indian handworks which form an essential part of her design and fashion grammar.
In her latest collection at the Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour2014, Neeta Lulla casted her magic on the ramp all over again as she drew inspiration from Marilyn Monroe and Madhubala. The inspiration reflected clearly on her designs as she infused her personal style to give her outfits an old world charm.
One of her most stunning design during the tour employed a heavy use of golden embellishments in the form of Zardozi and Aari work. These embellishments were further complimented by the black fabric of the dresses that together created extremely elegant outfits. Another standout element in her design on this tour was a heavy utilization of sheer. Be it on the panels or on the sleeves, Neeta Lulla has perfected the use of this fabric on her outfits.
During the tour, she was assisted by the students of her own academy wiz Whistling Wood – Neeta Lulla School of Fashion.
Her show stopper for the show was bollywood diva Aditi Rao Hydari. On her first ever appearance as a showstopper, Aditi dazzled the ramp with a pale golden outfit. The nude top and ritzy trousers were teamed up with an embellished sheer net.
