Winter is still a few months away, but waiting for winters to style this super rad Zoe Carssen sweatshirt that I spotted over at ikkadukka.com recently was too much for me. Sweatshirts have quickly risen to become a stylish staple and I had been looking for the perfect one all winter long. So you can completely imagine my excitement on finally finding the right one after all these months! Even if it was in the middle of what can be rightly called the hottest summer of our lives!
I just love how this raglan, loose-fit piece in a metallic black lurex fabric is kind of like the grown-up version of your regular bum-in-around sweat, yet it was quirky enough for my style with a bold TROUBLEMAKER plastered across the chest.
I’ve teamed it with ripped boyfriend jeans from Forever 21 here and dressed it up with chunky handcrafted necklaces and a dual leather and canvas printed clutch, both from Ikka Dukka again. Figured it was best to offset the casual nature of the look by opting for studded pointy-toe pumps from Charles & Keith. Finished the look with Kenzo sunnies to up the cool factor just a wee bit more.
Well, of course, I suggest all you style-spiration seekers to look back on this post once temperatures drop, in order for it to serve you better, unless you are planning on hitting the slopes or flying off to a snowy retreat. In that case, you are welcome.
A big thank you to my blogger bud Hanadi for clicking all these amazing pictures and also helping me style this look (which was slightly beyond my comfort zone, to be honest), pushing me really hard to top-knot it and to choose pointy-toes over sneakers for this one. I mean as much as I love experimenting, I’m still almost always gravitating towards neat, prim looks and this was anything but, and yet the end result was equally rewarding.
