.Not removing makeup before sleeping- Now this is one of the worst things you could do to your skin. No matter how lazy you feel after reaching home and no matter how tempting the bed might look, do not let yourself sink into it.Always push yourself to remove your makeup. Makeup adds to the skin’s miseries overnight as it blocks your pores. If you still feel like skipping this someday, imagine premature ageing of the skin, a colony of acne and a dull complexion all over your face. Scary isn’t it?
.Popping your pimples- One of the most common mistakes made by people across the globe is this. As soon as you see that pimple marking its presence on your face, the instant solution that strikes you is popping them. Although, it might free you from the pimple for a while, it actually worsens the situation. The bacteria in your nails and fingers are absorbed into your newly opened pores and you may just get 5 more pimples and a skin infection. So yes, when your grandmother shouted at you for popping that pimple, she was merely advocating a major beauty rule.
.Proper foundation- Foundation is best used for hiding the inconsistency in your skin tone. Do not apply foundation to look like a plastic doll. Remember, you are not Barbie! Also, do not forget to apply the foundation to your décolletage (cleavage) as well. Unless you want a visible difference in the complexion of your face and neck and a foundation line that screams for attention.
.Sunscreen- Yes, It’s perhaps the most essential rule of beauty and is hence often overlooked. Your sunscreen is not a summer-only product. Regardless of the sun being too shiny or it being a little shy, the sunscreen should be on your face and hands (and other exposed parts) every time you head out.
.Hairspray - We know this took you by surprise but that’s the whole point. You’ve never thought that your hairspray could possibly be a beauty mistake. Too much hairspray can spoil your hair. Not only do they weaken your hair structure, they also make it lose its texture at times. So never be careless with the hairspray. The ideal way to spray is to cover your face with your hand (the way you protect your face and eyes from the sun) while you are doing it to avoid contact with the skin.
