Double chins can affect anyone – even the skinniest people can somehow miraculously be burdened with a double chin. Unlike your other problem areas, you can’t really hide this little fellow and it makes sure it photobombs all your selfies. So while you have been doing all the exercises to help the chin regain its shape, we tell you some quick tips that would help you hide your double chin.
1. Use your makeup well: Don’t be so amazed. Applying makeup properly around your double chin can actually tackle the problem well. Apply a foundation that matches your skin to your entire face and blend it well. Then, apply a foundation that is a shade or two darker than your skin tone on your jaw line and chin. Remember to blend well, especially at the jaw. This would create faux lines and make the double chin disappear. Magic!
2. Accessorize properly: Improper accessories will add more attention to your double chin and would highlight it in a way that it looks like a triple chin. No matter how much you may love them, wearing a chocker necklace is a strict no-no. Chokers eliminate the angles and double your chin. Wear necklaces that fall elegantly on your neckline or below and choose ones that have fewer beads or details closer to your jaw. Also, avoid long dangling earrings that end near your jaw. They steal the attention from your face and make the eyes focus on your chin.
3.Clothes make a difference: Okay, we’ll be more particular. When we talk about the clothes we specifically mean their necklines. Do not go for stiffer necklines or high necks. They occupy the free space on your neck and highlight the double chin. Let your necklines run deeper. If you are a little scandalized or uncomfortable with deep necklines, opt for a V Neck or boat neck. The idea is to vacate the space on your neck and flatten out the double chin.
4. Scarves and ties guide: A badly-tied scarf or a badly-tied tie is a disaster in itself. But if it’s the wrong tie or the wrong scarf, it will not only destroy your look but would also accentuate your double chin. When choosing a scarf, prefer light-hued ones and those that have a muted pattern. Also, try to keep the knot simple and let the scarf fall down generously. When wearing for a tie, do not wear a bow tie and choose a long one.
5. Hair ideas: Do we need to emphasize the impact of a good hairstyle on your overall look? Hair heavily alters the visual of your face and hence helps in diluting the double chin. You should avoid hairstyles and haircuts that bundle up around your neck. Choose those that are flowy or tie your hair back (not too tight) to take away the attention of your double chin. Men may also choose to hide the double chin with a beard but women should strictly avoid having a beard.Wink!
