"Why are you trying so hard?” “Are you afraid to be yourself?” “Only ugly women wear makeup!”
Beauty and makeup are debatable topics that are often subject to judgment– especially in India. The existing notions that decide how a woman should use makeup are just mind-boggling. If she wears what is considered too much makeup, she’s told she doesn’t need so much. And if she doesn’t wear any makeup, the same party has ample suggestions about how she can improve her bare face.
To address these rising questions, four Indian women got together to create a campaign that breaks all rules of beauty. Mallika Dhingra, Shivani Gulati, Deeksha Jhalani, Yangerla Jamir, and Swati Sinha who are all socia media stratergists, launched a campaign called ‘Beauty On Duty’, that is a humble yet strong message to every woman out there to wear her face as is, and let no one lower her confidence. We at Fashion101 proudly support this social cause and are the official media partners for this campaign.
Beauty on Duty Campaign
The 20-day #BeautyOnDuty campaign will be spread across social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. It involves 20 other influential women, including international and Indian bloggers, stylists and makeup artists. All of us are trying to spread this message as we want women to be stronger, and embrace their flaws and own their beautiful faces.
